Which days of the week are considered standard business days?
By default, Monday through Friday are treated as standard working days, with Saturday and Sunday designated as the weekend. However, the tool allows you to customize the weekend structure—such as Friday-Saturday weekends common in parts of the Middle East—to match regional work patterns.
Can I add or subtract business days from a project start date?
Yes. The "Add/Subtract Working Days" mode allows you to specify a target number of business days (e.g., 15 working days for a sprint or contract SLA), and the calculator projects the exact completion date while automatically skipping weekends.
How does the calculator compute billable working hours?
You can define your standard workday duration (such as 8 hours or 7.5 hours per day). The calculator multiplies the total number of business days by your daily working hours to provide total billable project hours.
Can I manually exclude holidays from the calculation?
Yes. You can add specific holiday dates to the excluded dates list so they are deducted from the total working day count alongside regular weekend days.
